Letter From The President – We need Your Assistance

Dear Shingle Springs Community Center Members

I’m writing to let you know that our Community Center is in need of your help. As you may be aware, since early March 2020, the Community Center has been unable to rent its facilities or to hold community events.  These things are where the majority of our operating funds are derived.  We are now at the point that just about all of our treasury balance has been exhausted to pay the ongoing operating expenses that exist whether or not we have events, e.g. PG&E for security lights, EID to water the playing field, El Dorado Disposal for trash, a very hefty insurance payment, as well as property taxes.  We have sufficient cash to continue operating through February.

To continue operating beyond February we are in need of your assistance with financial support.  Perhaps you could consider a donation from your 2020 income tax refund, or maybe your 2021 Stimulus check.  Or just consider writing us a check.  Any and all amounts will be helpful.  Know they all will assist us in getting through the coming months until we can again rent our facilities and provide events for you, our neighbors, and friends.

You can use the donation button to assist us. We would appreciate any assistance.

Thank you for considering our request for assistance during this pandemic.  Please accept our wishes for Happy Holidays and an improved New Year!

Best wishes,

Mike Williamson and the SSCC Board of Directors
