The Reign of the Rose – October & November 2011

Posted By on November 17, 2011

Mary Ann Harper, El Dorado Rose – 2011, has agreed to share her reign with our Center. Each month, Mary Ann will offer us a look at what is happening as a result of her special status.

Wednesday, October 19th – I attended the monthly Rose meeting and gave my report.

Tuesday, October 25th – Attended the Shingle Springs / Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer with Judy and Sandy.

Monday, October 31st – Judy, Sandy and I met at the Bell Tower in P’Ville and sashayed up and down the middle of main street for my first ever Halloween event in town.  It was a blast!!!  There seemed to have been more adults than children and most of the adults were in costume.

It was a very, very happy event and I plan on attending again next year.

Wednesday, November 9th – Sandy and I attended the combined mixer of SS/CP, El Dorado Hills and the county chambers held at Blue Shield in EDH.  It was good meeting new people while visiting again with those we have become acquainted with.

Thursday, November 10th – Judy, Sandy and I attended the SS/CP monthly mixer at the Cameron Park Library.

Tuesday, November 15th – We went to an ED County mixer at Goldsmith Gallery & Fine Jewelry in Placerville.

Friday, November 25th I received a phone call from the Placerville Downtown Association personally inviting me to be the ONE who will flip the switch turning on the lights to the Holiday Christmas Tree at the corner of Main Street and Bedford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can you believe it??!!

I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful Placerville tradition, “Festival of Lights.”
